The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December. Read our blog post for more info about this change.
At Brown, we use Canvas as our learning management system and Tableau for data visualizations.
Has anyone found a way to embed Tableau visualizations within Canvas where instructors only see their courses and students? I found the following article on the Canvas Community, but the visualizations are at a higher, aggregated level. Our faculty have said they do not want to leave Canvas and login elsewhere, i.e., Tableau server, to see the visualizations.

If this is not possible, we are thinking we could create URLs in Canvas that are contextualized to instructors and courses. When an instructor clicks on the link, there is a single sign-on into Tableau that brings up the visualizations in the context of that instructor user. Has anyone tried this?
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!
