At our College, we have many programs that use publisher test banks/quizzes and most upload through the QTI option which is not available with New Quizzes. It will be a bit before we enforce the change also.

Hello, I'm a Canvas Admin for my college, and I'm looking for "pre-packaged" CSS code that could be uploaded into Canvas and used with styling headers and creating other course design features. My team has discussed creating templates for courses and would like some CSS code to assist with the design. I did find the discussion; "Five-Star Course Design, etc." but I'm wondering if anyone has any additional suggestions or information. Thank you!

As a Canvas admin at my school, I have been asked if there is anyway to prevent our instructors from accessing past courses so that they cannot import/copy them. We did test the Conclude option but that doesn't prevent them from importing/copying from a concluded course. I'm sure we could remove them from those courses, but that would be a daunting project as we've been with Canvas since 2014. If anyone has received a similar request and has a solution; I'm all ears. My assumption is that Canvas was designed to allow instructors to access past courses indefinitely. Thanks for any information shared!

Hi Andrew; right now, I'm the "point" person for 3Play captioning requests at MPTC. I'm loading files onto their site and providing the completed .srt files to faculty via a network "shared" drive. 3Play does have an option to "link" accounts such as YouTube, Vimeo, Panopto, Mediasite. Dropbox, Box, and more. Right now, Canvas is in "beta" for that option. The current process works pretty well, and 3Play delivers my requests promptly. Have a great day!

I use SCORM to upload Articulate files into Canvas the same way you've outlined uploading content above. I import the file as an "ungraded assignment." I just want to be sure I'm interpreting the information provided above correctly. I'm assuming that I don't need to do anything further to my existing content because of the way I loaded it into Canvas. I have quite a few assignments setup this way for a client of ours. Kerry, thank you for posting this! I'm experiencing the same issue. Each time I sync a BP course with its associated courses, the course start and end dates are removed from the associate courses and I never choose to include the Course settings in the sync. I'm curious as to any insight provided on this question.

Thank you for your response, Anthony! Right now, we are doing a similar process to what you have in place. So it's good to know there are other college that have the same view. I like your system for tracking the request and the documentation you keep. Our college would like to use a project tracking system for faculty to request the implementation of an LTI. That way our department can also track the time spent on these requests as well as who and what is being requested. I appreciate your feedback; thanks so much!

Does anyone have an implementation process they would share as to which LTI apps you open/add in your instance of Canvas? We thought about having our faculty go through their department head, but just curious if anyone does anything else. There are so many to choose from! I appreciate any thoughts you care to share.

It would be a huge time saver if rubric rating scales could be duplicated in a rubric build. I'd rather be able to copy a rating scale and then take the time to go back and "tweek" it than having to create each row separately. That's a lot of time when your building a rubric with 150 criteria! Thanks for listening!
