Bio:
Heidi Ross is the Online Administrator and educational trainer for Tooele County School District and Utah Student Connect. She is responsible for all components of Canvas administration, implementation, training, and course development.
She designs both brick and mortar and online courses, provides instructional design and pedagogical support to faculty and district administration, as well as professional development to administrators, teachers, counselors, students, parents, and the community.
Additionally she is responsible for all district outreach materials and training for the Statewide Online Learning Program and Utah Students Connect, to assist families in making educational choices that are right for their student. When necessary, she also serves on committees to guide legislative initiatives that affect Online Learning in the state of Utah.
Her particular passion is harnessing technology to improve student engagement, teaching, learning, to make it a part of the learning environment, not an after thought. She has a M.S. in Curriculum & Technology, School Administration, and undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education, History, and Deaf Interpreter. In her spare time she is an artist.
