HACK NIGHTThis is the event where programmers, engineers, LMS admins, app developers, and other nerds collaborate to squash bugs, fix things, make them better, you know… hack Canvas. Since this is right after dinner you’ll probably be full, but there will be a cash bar if you’re thirsty!

Unfortunately, I am not at InstCon. However, I do have something that might be something to discuss at HACK NIGHT (instcon15)
When the Links section (Files and Images are the other 2) is selected, you have a list of content down below it. You can click on the arrow to expand the listing below the heading. However, you cannot click on the arrow of an expanded area to collapse it back. You have to select another area and then it is expanded. The expand and collapse by clicking on the arrow works when in the files area, and I do not know about images since I have no images uploaded.
The image below shows an expanded area, and clicking on the down arrow by Quizzes does not collapse the quiz area.
Well, one thing that I have already learned is that people come to InstructureCon from all sorts of backgrounds.
Hack night was great, good luck to so many of ya'll as you embark on this new adventure called Canvas, thank you to all who were so willing to share, and I'm glad I was able to assist a few problem solve specific issues. I can't wait to see what everyone contributes to Commons!
Great Hack Night! I learned how to use Canvabadges to issue a badge manually for random student greatness that is demonstrated in a course and I'm going to share this with my colleagues. Also got to see some great CSS and uses of kennethware
Got a lot out of HACK NIGHT (instcon15) but the story I want to share was one I was merely adjacent to; an Instructional Designer and a mobile engineer discussed a feature, collaborated on the design and functionality, then built it on the spot. This is the awesomeness you get when you have smart people working together in an open way.
As much as I enjoy hacking at hack night, I think I enjoy all the hacking going on around me even more.
Hack Night was really cool, I was able to connect with several others with similar environments and SIS systems and we were able to share experiences and ask questions.
