Hi, We are having a huge problem with dates being overwritten (Banner is our SIS, and using ILP over to Canvas). Teachers change the course dates to be earlier at the beginning, or later at the end, and any change in enrollment in Banner overwrites/resets these dates. This is ongoing and an issue, and I am trying to see if anyone knows how to set "something" in Banner or in ILP so that enrollment changes don't trigger date changes. Has anyone had any luck with this? Thanks! Sam

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is where to ask this, but I have a problem. Up until this weekend, we had customized our catalog using js and css, to show subcatalogs at various levels to separate out our courses. There were 4 tiles across, and then on the main page, 3-4 rows. I don't know what happened, but as of yesterday, suddenly our catalogs are all scrunched up, and look like they're trying to show as course listings instead. I sent in a support ticket, and L2 looked at it for me, even though this is js/css, but they told me that nothing had changed, so I am at a loss. Would it be helpful to post the code I'm using? Our catalog is at http://wyolearn.uwyo.edu, and you can see what it looks like now - the links work, and once you get to a listing page instead of a catalog subaccount page it looks as it should, but any of the subacatalog listing pages are a mess. Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

In WyoCourses there is an option to delay the publishing of an “Announcement” until a specific date and time, and instructors have found this option very helpful when developing their courses. They have suggested that it would be helpful if that option was available for “Assignments” and items in “Files”, to schedule the publishing of these items.

Hi all, I've got a question - I've tried a lot of what I've seen in this thread, but I am not getting things to work.
What I am trying to do is add an icon over the linked text in the sidebar.
Here is what I have for the AddMenuItem call:
addMenuItem('Navigate', 'https://uwyo.navigate.eab.com/app/#/authentication/remote/', '<img src="https://uwyo.navigate.eab.com/app/resources/logo/navigate/navigate.svg">','_blank');
However, in my sidebar, there's no picture and it just has "> in front of the word Navigate, so I think it's ignoring my picture entirely. I tried this with .png and .ico formats too (different location), but nothing.
Any ideas on why this isn't working? I appreciate any ideas.

When you give them this permission, is it allowing them to masquerade, or just see the student view in a course? We want to grant accessing the student view to some subaccount admins, but we don't want them to be able to masquerade as anyone in the course.

We received this from a faculty member: I would like to make a suggestion concerning the new version of the Quiz function in WyoCourses. I like it and think that it has additional functionality that I will be able to use in my courses. However, it has lost one function that I would really like to get back. In the old version of the Quiz function I was able to manually adjust the number of points awarded for a specific student response to a specific question. This allowed me to award partial credit for their response. I now do not have that option (or I cannot figure out how to do it.) The new version wants to "regrade" the question and, if I understand it correctly, wants to apply that regrade to every student. When I attempt to use this I do not see the grade change. I think that this has been made more complicated than it needs to be. I would recommend that this feature be set back to the way it was in the old version. Allow manual adjustments of individual scores for each question. Thank you for considering this.

We (University of Wyoming) have a separate instance for our Catalog users - our main instance uses SSO and is tied to Banner and our credit courses, while our other instance is not. We are hoping to tie in Elevate to it, in addition to manual course creation, but we don't have this set up yet.

I'm bummed about this, but I was expecting it. Are there any details about the registration refund? I got the hotel cancelation email today as well and sent it to the person in my department that handles all things to do with reservations and travel, and she asked me about this. Is there something we need to initiate, or will that be done on Instructure's end? I also wonder about October 15th date - any thoughts to late August or another time when school's not in session? Thanks!

Hi Erin, Since this came out, none of our Android users can use the app on their phones. I've had our authentication person look at this, and it appears the app isn't redirecting properly. I have a ticket open, as this looks like it's not on our end, but on how the app is redirecting incorrectly. Thanks, Sam

We have this same problem when switching between sub-catalogs (they all have different questions). The students are only ever asked questions from the subaccount they sign up in.

It's light in color, and not very large - is this something we can write JavaScript for to change in the emails to make it bigger and bolder? Hi Dave, Sure - what we've got right now is a template-in-progress. This is what the email looks like when someone enrolls in in a class through our Catalog right now : We've made the footer blank, but have customized the header. This is our default that we're working on, but we're hoping to set this up for our subcatalogs so they can personalize them even more.
