Overall percentage is not displaying in students view of grades

I am the instructor. I can see it in my records, but my students told me today that they do not see their overall percentage. Is there something I can do to fix this? I checked all the guides and FAQs I could find. Thank you

Hello, @SusanHagen! As the instructor, whether or not students can see their grade totals is part of your course settings. The following should allow you to set it so they can see those:

1. Open your Settings page in your course from the left panel.
2. In the Course Details page, scroll down until you see "more options". Click on that.
3. Continue to scroll down and make sure that "Hide totals in student grade summary" is NOT checked. (It is checked in my screenshot below.)
4. Save your settings, and the students should be able to see that final percentage!

Hi, I am having an issue with the same. I have completed the steps above, however, some students' totals are still hidden. Can you help direct me?

Hi! So, this is to say that some of the kids are now seeing their grade totals?

I haven't seen a situation where some are showing and some are hidden, so I would just doublecheck a couple of things and see if any remedy the situation. Otherwise, you may need to contact Canvas support and point out the specific incidents.

Here's what I'd double check:

• Make sure grades are not "hidden" and have been posted for everyone. If a teacher uses the manual posting function, there is an option when posting to only unhide the graded students, not all students. In that case, if someone hands in late work and it gets graded after the initial posting, it may not post that grade until the teacher again does it manually. 
• Make sure that the class these kids are in has the assignment categories weighted above zero if that is being used. If everything is left at zero it may not calculate anything from the grades.
