Bio:
Kamal Hennayake, Professor of Mathematics, came to Chesapeake College in 2000. Before that he was an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at College of West Virginia. He earned his PhD in Mathematics at West Virginia University. His PhD dissertation was in the area of Graph Theory and Combinatorial Mathematics. He has several publications in this field.
He is committed to providing quality learning material from OER (Open Educational Resources). He's encouragement in ORE made most of the mathematics courses adapting free textbooks and MyOpenMath for the Chesapeake College math department.
He is passionate about teaching and learning. Moreover, he designed Chesapeake’s first mathematics online course. He is a Quality Matters peer reviewer and his online college algebra course is approved by Maryland Online Quality Matters. He represents Chesapeake College in State Wide Math Group. He supports Common Core Curriculum and participates in PARCC meetings. He was one of the leading members of the Project Synergy. Also, he was a Project NExT fellow, Class of 2003.

in the new redesign is it possible for students to create a topic inside a discussion assignment just as in D2L. I really like that feature in discussions.
Yes, it gives partial credit if you have set up your item bank with filling multiple blanks, or multiple dropdowns. However, my first quiz had bugs for students.
My next quiz is scheduled for October...
It definitely pulls a fresh question if they are coming from item banks.

Yes, it should work. I have 25 questions on my quizzes and all 25 questions are from item banks. However, it is not clear how the build on prior attempt works since my students still get 25 different...
