Patricia, We have been working closely with Instructure on Live Events and have had discussions specifically about this change. I'll let Instructure clarify/confirm, but I think it's meant to be worded as "previous behavior of supporting the return of all data elements in an event has been deprecated." -Paul

I just was corrected by my team - the behavior we saw with course imports overwriting quizzes is different than the behavior you described. Sorry for the confusion!

Steve, We've seen issues similar to what you describe with quiz responses not being correctly captured when a course import runs and overwrites an existing version of a quiz while a student is taking the quiz. Were any course imports run during the time window the student was taking the quiz? The Blueprint course functionality leverages course imports on the back end to copy changes from master courses to the child courses, so that's something to consider as well if you're using that at Kenan-Flagler. -Paul

Any information on when we can expect this functionality to be back in beta? Our students would greatly benefit from this feature being implemented and it has been a point of confusion when new enrollments occur.

If you need to edit a permission on a role that's off screen when the page loads, clicking the permission "jumps" the page back to the default view, greatly increasing annoyance. I'd almost consider this a defect at this point, I too would like to know where things stand. We have a *lot* of roles.

For our institution, it's important to be able to easily understand how to access past term courses that they may still wish to reference - the mockup in the initial post is barking up the right tree here. These are still "relevant", just at different times from current term courses.

This is a great idea, so happy to see this! We have a lot of faculty and staff that need to access past term courses and this would offer some great visual clarity to a long list of identically named courses. Thanks for including a mockup of the UI.

I agree with Joe Allen, this would be very welcome in the Copy Course function in addition to Commons since not all institutions will be utilizing Commons.
