Kathryn Borgesen is a fourth generation Arizona native. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Masters in Secondary Education degree, and Masters of Educational Leadership and Supervision degree from Arizona State University. She began her teaching career in Deer Valley USD as a dance teacher at Barry Goldwater High School the year the school opened and then moved to Mountain Ridge High School during its opening year. Kathryn was recognized as a Teacher of the Year in 2003. Kathryn moved into administration as an Assistant Principal at Boulder Creek High School and Barry Goldwater High School. She is currently serving as the Manager of Academics and Assessment in the DVUSD Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Department.
