A Canvas pop up asked me for feedback on an article. I rated it as "very unsatisfied" and suggested that faculty need direct support from Canvas engineers. I got this error when I pressed the submit button.
Could it be that the feedback system is constructed so that complaints never go through?
And, yes, I am working in Chrome. If one more person tells me my problem is that I'm not in chrome, I am going to light my hair on fire.

@Steuard This thread is about people wanting the grading features for Quizzes that already exist in Assignments. This is good news for your application (a single question quiz): you can use Assignments instead and get the features we are all discussing: ability to view and write corrections on submissions without downloading. 🙂 Unfortunately, these features are not available in [multi-question] quizzes.

@dpotter That doesn't addresses the popular desire to _not_ download individual student files. When you have assignments with multiple files, across multiple sections and courses, multiplied by the number of students per class, it easily becomes hundreds of files per week. No one wants to sort through those, even if they are named per student.

@Stefanie Yes, I saw that my rating showed up, but what I'm telling you the interface didn't register anything that looked like I rated it. You know when you click on a button and things change color or blink, or a count increments and there is some indication that the click did something? Yeah, it did NOT do any of those things. So, it seems that the interface for rating known issues with Canvas is also buggy. Huh. Developers: please fix the issues with quizzes FIRST. Thanks 🙂

@Stef_retired There seem to be more comments than stars here - can you tell us how new features are selected/reviewed? And if it is by stars how do people add stars? When I clicked on adding stars (Chrome) it didn't show up that I had done anything, but apparently the stars were added in my name. Thanks!

Preview doesn't work in "quiz" format according to Canvas support. Please everyone add comments in their "idea forum" to get this included in future releases: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Idea-Conversations/SpeedGreader-should-open-pdfs-in-DocViewer-for-quizzes/idc-p/400046#M34940 If it receives a lot of comments, hopefully they will work on it.

I think we would all like quiz uploads to work the same way as assignment uploads: preview, marking on them with a stylus, etc. This seems like a mandatory feature for STEM classes - we need to be able to glance at handwritten work for multiple problems and have other problems auto-graded. It is so strange that they implemented the feature for assignments but not quizzes... Any time we can save grading is time we can help our students in other ways - having to download individual files to view them is too slow. Multiple file down loads per assignment times the number of students easily adds up to hundreds of file downloads a week. I would add that grading single file upload assignments on an iPad or tablet is a dream - no clicking, just grade them, add notations if you want, and swipe to the next. Quiz uploads should work like that as well.
