[Speedgrader] Make Speedgrader Speedier w/ assignment downloads

Problem statement:

Please make Speedgrader speedier and reduce lag time in opening files! As observed from using iPad Speedgrader: Even on fast WiFi, when opening student pdf and image uploads, there is a loading delay that often feels unreasonable. This delay multiplied by all teachers and assignments is wasting a lot of instructor time.

Proposed solution:

I’d like to pre-download assignments for grading on Canvas apps so that files can be opened a lot faster, because they would already be on the device. Similar to downloading a show on the Netflix app where the files delete after watching, the files should auto delete after the assignment is graded. This would also allow us to do grading when we have little or no WiFi signal. A lot of instructors would like the ability to grade offline.

Thank you for sharing this idea with the Instructure Community! While the title and the problem discuss speed for downloading/opening files, your solution suggested downloading for offline content. If your solution relies on having the ability to download files, there is an existing idea with which we would combine your request.
