@ilovell I, unfortunately, don't manage the csv file for enrollment. We are manually enrolling students in sections in one parent course shell, but cross-listing would have solved our issue if we didn't have to manually change the permissions on a 100+ students.

Upvote! This not only is a pain point within a course, but if you are updating a rubric that is standard for an entire course program, you have to replace the rubric in every assignment in every course in a term. That's a huge time suck if you are correcting a typo.

@KristinL I can see how that thread would also provide a solution, but I think for the universities that I am working with, the best solution would be to have something case by case since cross-listing is used differently from course to course. Having a global setting would make case-by-case situations difficult to manage. Right now, we are creating groups to try to silo students, which gets really messy if an assignment/discussion setting gets missed.

Problem statement: When there is a minor edit that needs to be made to a rubric, like a spelling error or grammar error, you are forced to save it as a new rubric. This is a pain if the rubric is being used across a bunch of assignments. Every assignment has to be reassociated with the new rubric every time a slight change is made in text. Proposed solution: Allowing edits of rubrics, even though associated to multiple assignments, that does not trigger saving the rubric as a new rubric. User role(s): admin,instructor,designer

I have worked in other LMS where the rubric adjusts according to the assignment points instead of the rubric needing to match the total points exactly.

I am currently having the same issue. What is the point of having things properly setup with groups/sections if groups and sections aren't copied over when courses are copied/content is imported into a new shell.

Problem statement: When combining sections into a Parent course shell using cross-list section, students are compiled into one course shell, but you have to manually click through each student's profile in order to enable that the student can only interact with students in their section. When there is over 100 students migrated into a shell, it is very time-consuming to change this setting. Proposed solution: When cross-listing a section, having an option to enable that students will only be able to interact with their section. Or having a setting in the Sections tab of Settings that will flip student profiles to only allow students to interact within their sections. User role(s): admin,instructor

At the moment it's only affecting one course across the board ... meaning even old quizzes in sections that ran a year ago have been affected. This is not occurring in any other course that was copied by admin through their cloning script, which is why this is so strange. This was also not an issue in recent terms. This issue popped up this Fall term.

One of my instructors reported that Quizzes were not working in her course. Upon inspection, I see that all the Classic quizzes that used to be in this course were converted to New Quiz. No explanation why quizzes that were imported into a shell along with all other content from a Master course have converted to New Quiz across the board automatically. Has anyone else seen this happen in their Canvas instance? I really need these quizzes converted back to Classic.
