After receiving her Bachelor's degree, Jennifer Leimer began traveling throughout the US conducting seminars for a company. She continued her travel work while beginning her teaching career in K-12 at Moss Point Vocational Center. After a year and a half at Moss Point, she took a job at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) as a Business and Office Technology instructor. She then earned her Master's degree in Instructional Technology. Early in her career, Mrs. Leimer participated in an NSF grant for Advanced Network Technology Education and began teaching Computer Networking. Soon thereafter, she transferred to MGCCC's eLearning department where she served as the eLearning Coordinator and was later promoted to Director of eLearning.
Over the years, Mrs. Leimer has served in multiple leadership roles including those in the Mississippi Business Education Board, the Mississippi Virtual Community College's eLearning Association, and at MGCCC. In addition to her leadership roles, she served as the canvas administrator for MGCCC and as both a trainer and course developer for MGCCC and the Mississippi Virtual Community College Academy. Mrs. Leimer now serves as an instructional designer for Instructure. She enjoys teaching and learning and takes every opportunity to enhance her skills as a designer and trainer.
