I have created a final project for all 7 students in the same class. All 7 students will be working together on the same project, so there is only one project (not a project created by each student). The project has multiple components (15) that each student needs to contribute to and I need to grade each students' individual contributions. Each student needs to see everyone else's contributions as well. Do I set up Groups to manage this? Do I create one +Group Set with all students and then create +Group for each of the components and assign all 7 students in each one? Should I use Discussions within the groups for students to see each other's contributions and to be able to grade the individual contributions? Your suggestions are appreciated.

Hi Adam, Our Canvas is only configured for Google Docs via Collaborations, and not Google Drive. My guess is that I think the student may have created her assignment in a separate Google Drive folder and has tried to submit the link to her folder.

Hello Canvas Geniuses! I have 10 students that I have paired up into 5 groups of two students (project partners) under a Group Set. I have set up a collaborations for them to use as a "work" space for their project. How can I configure Canvas so that each group set has their own work space. Do I need to create five of the same collaboration workspaces and assign one group to each collaboration or can I assign the five different groups to the one collaboration? Each group should not be able see the work of the other groups. Thanks!

I set up graded Discussion Forums for a course that has 5 students enrolled. When I access the link to the first discussion forum, I only see #1 student's post. However, when I access Speed grader, I see submissions to grade from students #2 and student #3, but not the submission from student #1 that I saw under the Discussions link. How can I correct this so that all five students see all discussion posts and that I also can see their submissions in Speedgrader? Does it have something to do with setting up Groups? Thanks!

Hello all, My students will be working in groups the entire semester producing multimedia content for 20 separate sections of a digital manual. I currently have the Canvas modules identified by the week in which I will be explaining the needed deliverable for each section of the manual. How should I manage due dates since each group will need to pop in and out of all the sections throughout the semester and in no particular order. If I set due dates, the students hate seeing LATE when they make submissions after the section is introduced, but if I don't set due dates, the students don't see dates on the syllabus. Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks Michael. I really wish instructors had the option to make adjustments once the course has been published without the students being alerted.

Every time I update my Canvas shell, it sends a notification to the enrolled students. Is there a way to stop that?
