Bio:
I am here because it is time for me to try to give back some of the help I have received thus far. I have been afforded incredible opportunities through education and believe teaching at CSM is the best way to train future small business owners and first-line managers.
I am passionate about helping folks reach their next internship, job, degree, or business opening. You can take advantage of that passion by just devoting time and effort (ganas).
Specifically, I believe helping students to switch from being employed somewhere, to being self-employed to actually employ at least one other person is the best way to reach a more equitable society.
I have been working in, starting, running, and advising companies in the Valley for the last 25 years in companies large and small. Deloitte and Citibank are two names you might know.
Small companies and startup experiences span management, advertising, software sales, corporate valuations, and artificial intelligence, and acquisitions.
Company names include NexTag ($1.3 Billion Exit), Charles River Associates (Financial and Economic Consulting). I have worked and helped companies in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, UK, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, and a few others.
I have an MBA from Stanford in General Management and a Certificate in Public Management. I have taken many graduate seminars in Economics and Mathematics. My undergraduate studies are from Southwestern University (in Texas).
I am an immigrant and was raised in Mexico, specifically, Guadalajara. Thanks for reading.
All the best,
Guillermo
