Bonnie Barrett holds a BA in Art from Immaculate Heart College, as well as a diploma in Calligraphy and Bookbinding from London University. Her graduate degrees include a MFA in graphic design from California State University, Fullerton and an MA in Art from California State University, Los Angeles. She served for six years a Calligrapher for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. Ms. Barrett has taught graphic design and computer graphics at Cerritos College for eighteen years, having previously taught Visual Communications at Northern Arizona University. Her graphic design work is focused primarily on icon design, typography, book and packaging design, for which she has received numerous commissions and honors. Her original typeface design, Arbor, was recognized for excellence by the Type Director’s Club of New York and Print Magazine.
