I thought I had found a work-around, but the videos corrupt...help. I need to embed videos and/or clips into quizzes for my students. I was copying the links from 'pages' and pasting them into quiz instructions - which worked for a while - but now those videos links have been corrupting. Does anyone know a better way? The embed feature is NOT available in quizzes. HOW I WISH IT WAS!

I understand the idea behind upgrading the tests.
Please restore the previous gradebook features. Restore the rocket icon that says something needs to be graded.
I have 78 submissions for a test. Yesterday there were 75. These are multiple choice tests. I must now sift through 78 tests to see which are the ones that need grading. It might seem an easy fix to just look at my grade book and pick out the grades that haven't been entered, but I have 150 students. Either way, it's a lot of extra work.
Please restore the old gradebook format.

So, if a student is given a question that requires MATCHING, they have to answer EVERY QUESTION CORRECTLY in order to get any score. If they get 5 out of 7 correct in a MATCHING question, the computer scores them ZERO. If they get 6 out of 7...still ZERO. A test that has two questions that are matching with 7 matches in each question will score a ZERO even if the student only misses one match in each question when they should earn 12 points out of 14.
This is bad. Of course, we can go in and 'regrade,' but what's the good in that when we want the computer to work for us? Not only that, but when a student works very hard and KNOWS they've answered questions correctly, it really blasts them to see ZERO on the Canvas grade book. This does not help those with testing anxiety.
Why was the partial grading taken out of matching questions in this new quiz version? In the old version it graded for partially correct answers in matching....why not now?
The programming needs to be fixed, please. Not just on this item. What was the reason for an upgrade that isn't as good as the first version??
Until, and if, this is fixed, I won't be able to use the matching EVER because I don't want to - nor do I have the time to - go in and manually regrade every matching question I give to my nearly 200 students. I already have to go in and double and triple check for essay questions because the new upgrade posts partial grades in the Canvas grade book BEFORE essay questions have been manually graded. This is another delight I really can't afford timewise.
Please have someone take a look at this. It doesn't sound right that matching scores differently than multiple choice. It's plain that partial grading worked in the last version, and it should work in the new one.
Thanks. (Sorry for the venting. It gets very frustrating to lose time struggling with a program that worked once upon a time.)

PLEASE - reinstate the icon that shows manual grading is required. PLEASE.
In the old format, when a test was given with mixed question types, e.g. multiple choice, matching, and ESSAY, there was a little rocket icon that indicated a part or all of the quiz needed to be graded manually. This was super helpful during grading since it could be seen at-a-glance what grading needed to be done.
That notification feature is NOT in the new 'upgraded' quiz version of Canvas. Instead, the scores earned for the multiple-choice/matching questions are auto-loaded in the grade column BEFORE the essay portions are graded manually - there is no indicator that the score is incomplete and that manual grading needs to take place. THIS MAKES GRADING VERY DIFFICULT because EACH AND EVERY QUIZ that has any manual grading MUST BE OPENED AND REVIEWED FOR ORIGINAL GRADING and REGRADING. The only way to see if something needs manual grading is to OPEN THE QUIZ and look for "The following questions need review" notice at the top of the quiz. While this may not be much of a burden for some subjects (though still an annoyance), it is a HUGE problem for English teachers. More so when you consider that some English teachers have up to 200 students, and we MUST include essay sections to check for understanding. Without a notification icon, this means grading checks have to be manually done for EVERY quiz to make sure students have not retaken or have not been missed during the initial grading. This also means, to be fair and honest with students for their efforts, we have to DO IT AGAIN for EVERY assignment/quiz AT THE END OF EACH QUARTER to be accurate in our grading. Do you have any idea how much time that takes?
