@normanreese , does this solution also work to make the "freetext annotations" on the body of the document visible? I have an instructor who used the free text annotation tool to type comments onto the document, but those aren't showing up when the instructor downloads the pdf of the annotated feedback. Only the comments added with the highlight annotation tool are displaying in the pdf.

Currently, students cannot sign up for Scheduler appointments or create events in the Canvas Mobile app. This is a functionality that needs to be added, because so many students rely upon their mobile devices for interacting with their online instructors / coursework and with their college advisors.
Many of our college advisors use Canvas Calendar appointments to schedule appointments with their online advisees. A very large population of students rely upon their mobile devices for connecting with instructors and advisors outside of class time. Not having the full functionality that would allow them to schedule appointments with their instructors or advisors creates a significant barrier for students, and reinforces major inequities for our higher education students.

I want to echo the call for the ability to import / sync the Canvas Calendar to other calendar apps on a course-by-course basis. Many of our faculty are added as support staff to other instructors' courses but want the ability to import only their own Canvas course's calendar events to their Outlook Calendars.

Having the ability to post an out of office message is very important for instructors and for students. Students deserve to know their message has been received, even if the instructor is not immediately available to respond directly to them.

In Higher education, it is common to give students with documented needs an accommodation that requires an instructor to provide those students access to a Canvas Module earlier than the rest of the class.
Similarly to how Assignments allow instructors to make differentiated dates to access and submit Canvas Assignments, Canvas Modules should allow for instructors to be able to unlock a module with differentiated access dates for students requiring early access.
Without this ability, an instructor has to manually copy the content over to a separate Word document in order to provide early access to the student via email while still keeping the Canvas Module locked until the regular access date.

Hi Gillespiel1: I love the approach you described for your professional development! Using Badgr with Canvas Quizzes, along with Module Completion requirements will be helpful in achieving something similar to the self-graded experiences you described above. Regarding the self-grading experiences, I have used Canvas graded quizzes to allow users to "claim" a certain number of optional points. Each optional activity is its own question in the quiz, such as: "Did you use Twitter Search to find resources to share with your class?" The user then selects an answer choice, "Yes," and gets awarded a point, or "No," and gets 0 points for that specific question/activity. You would still have to set a minimum score the user would have to get on the graded quiz before the user could claim a badge with Badgr, though. But if you set the quiz with "unlimited number of attempts" and only record the highest score, the user could return to resubmit the quiz anytime they complete an additional activity. So, if a user gets, say, 5 points out of 10 on the self-grading activities quiz, meaning they completed 5 out of the 10 optional activities, they could claim the corresponding badge in Badgr. You could of course set the score requirement as low or as high as you would like, so long as they complete and submit the "quiz."
