The instructor has SSd students and uses lockdown browser for all her students. The students she moderated did not give the extra time to and quizzes were submitted and graded. Is there a way around this or fix this?

Hi Rick, yes, it looks like when there is no timer, I do not see that little blue clock timer offering to extend the time (in moderation). I bet that is what she was doing but thinking she was moderating the quiz. Thanks so much!!!!!

Hi all, There is an instructor who created a quiz and was trying to give the student an extra attempt, but there is a strange quiz time of over 13 hours instead. By the names on the moderation page, it doesnt say anything about the student having extra time or attempts like you usually see. Anyone know what would cause this? She said she added an extra attempt which we see as the 2. but where is 13 hours come from? Maybe when she tried to give an attempt (since he was taking the quiz, she hit the extent time instead? but it doesnt show the clock countdown either.

Hi, I had an instructor who was wondering if there is a workaround relating to setting up student groups. She has 850 students over all her courses and wants to create groups based upon sections but at the moment it is tedious and I was wondering if I am overlooking anything to help. I suggested having canvas split them into groups, require same section, and have canvas randomly assign from that section then adjust as needed since she wants basically to assign them but choosing from 850 names on the left is time-consuming. Any ideas about settingup/ managing large sections.

I had an instructor who teaches 38 different sections and wants to group their SSD students to be able to moderate their quizzes. She has hundreds of students altogether and there are ways that she has been going about it but it is tedious and time-consuming. Does anyone have any suggestions/ strategies to help manage large numbers of students and sections? We have another course that has over 100 sections. I won't even get into that one.
