I was born in Hong Kong and have been schooled in Britain, Australia, and Hong Kong. I received my MA and MSci in Natural Sciences (Experimental and Theoretical Physics) at the University of Cambridge, and my PhD in Biophysics (Structural Biology and Molecular Biophysics) at The Ohio State University. After two years at the Department of Chemistry, Fort Hays State University, I joined the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Indiana University East, where I teach a range of chemistry courses both face to face and online.
