I'd like to add a link (either text or an image) to our Canvas Catalog banner to direct back to our org's website. By default I think the banner image (our org logo) in Catalog drives back to our Catalog domain main page, which makes sense, however since we link to Catalog from our website so folks can register for classes, I'd like to be able to send folks back to our website without clicking their "back" button or opening a new tab. Is there a way to edit the Catalog homepage to include custom hyperlinks? It looks like there is some CSS/JS editing in Catalog but I'm not sure how I'd go about adding something like that to the banner.

I would like one of my students to be able to return to a concluded course they recently completed to be able to read comments that were left for them under one of their discussion activities. However, whenever they try to access the course (which concluded last week) they see the "Access Denied" message. I understand that there is a setting to "Restrict students from viewing course after course end date" but I have left it unchecked. Is there something else I have to do to give my students read-only access to a recently concluded course?

We recently started using Catalog's custom HTML certificate builder to provide certificates to our Canvas module course completers. It's a nice way to reduce the administrative work of manually creating unique PDF certificates for our students when they complete all the course requirements, plus it's free since we're already using Catalog. The issue I'm running into is that I don't think I have any way of knowing when students have completed a course, other than manually "acting as student" for each of them and checking whether they've hit our completion parameters by looking for the green checkmark on the relevant module page. My question: is there a way to tell when a student or students complete a course and have unlocked their certificate of completion in Catalog? As it is, I have to wait after every course for emails to trickle in from students who say they can't find their certificate of completion. Usually the issue is that they forgot to hit a "Mark as done" or view a page necessary to "complete" the course requirements, but it would be nice to know beforehand and check somewhere how many students "complete" a course, how many are still incomplete, etc. Bonus question: the course won't look "complete" in a student's profile in Canvas until after the course officially concludes, right?

A student of ours recently completed a course and on our end scored 100% and is marked as completed. However when she is logged into Canvas, the course displays as not completed and she has not received her credits. On our end, I’m not sure how to help her because she completed the course! Is there a way to force her to complete in the system and give her the credits she earned?

Is there a way to automatically send certificates of completion to folks who complete our Canvas courses? For each unit we like to send certificates of completion to our participants, but we've been doing it by hand and I'm trying to automate the process. We have our own certificate design we like to use (maybe that's part of the issue?) I know that Canvas Catalog has a certificate option that can be toggled for each Catalog course, but there are only two templates (plus an HTML/CSS option). Is there a way we can use our existing custom template in Canvas directly, or is Catalog the best place to create and automate certificates?

We use Catalog to manage our Canvas course registrations and webinar listing. One of our upcoming classes is taught via a partnership between our org and two others. Obviously when people register for the course, we receive their basic contact info, but we want to provide an option for users to opt out of sharing that info with our two external course partners. Is there a way to create an opt-out link or button in the Canvas description? Would I have to do that in the Canvas module for the course itself instead? Or is our best bet just asking folks to send me an email when they register if they'd prefer to opt out of info sharing?
