Claudia Dilgen has been an educator for over 20 years. She has taught students from the ages of Kindergarten to Adults in ESOL and GED classes. She specialized in Reading and Language Arts. She left the classroom to become a Reading Coach. Her role as a Reading Coach lead her to open the first all digital High School in Broward County. She expanded on this role by moving on to become an online instructor for the county. During this time she earned her MBA in Curriculum and Technology from the University of Phoenix. After serving several years as a Reading Coach and part of the school’s administration team, she joined the Innovative Learning Department at the District Offices. Her title and primary duties were as an online course designer, but expanded out to include being part of the team that evaluated several learning management systems, implemented Canvas in the district, and trained teachers on the how the Canvas LMS could enhance their classroom instruction. Claudia retired from the district and joined Instructure as a Contract Trainer. She is a facilitator for many of the Canvas Subscriptions Webinars as well as a lead trainer at a Face-to-Face or Virtual Canvas Custom training. When Claudia is not working you can find her on “island time” in St James City Florida. She spends her days boating, biking, reading, or sitting on the porch watching the dolphins and manatees swim by.
