Upvoting this as well. I have dozens of text files with comment banks in them that I have been copying and pasting. Adding the Comment Bank in Canvas is a great idea, but it quickly becomes unwieldy due to the many different types of comments needed for different types of assignments.

"Drop lowest score" is too limited to be useful. For example, my course works on total points, and I have assignments ranging from 5 to 100 points in the gradebook. Right now, "Drop lowest grade" could mean one student getting a 5 point assignment dropped, and another getting a 100 point assignment dropped.
It would be helpful if we could set a maximum amount of points or maximum value of an assignment that can be dropped, rather than having to pick every assignment that should be ignored. Since dropping the lowest score typically happens at the end of a semester, it makes for a lot of work to have to manually go through a gradebook and choose every assignment to exclude.

The "reassign" function should allow a student to submit the same number of times as the original assignment. That way, individual students could be given an opportunity to correct and/or redo assignments as necessary, without opening up an entire assignment to repeated submissions from the class.

Another request that people have been asking for for years, and Canvas has done nothing. How is this possibly a difficult request? My school requires assignments to be due at class time, not at midnight. A default time for each class/section would be a reasonable and effective solution.

I just gave a quiz, and wanted File Upload of PDF responses. All of my students have supposedly submitted, but for almost all of them, there is no file for me to view, nothing to download, nothing to open. See below, this student is marked as "Submitted": Here's an example of the 4-5 students whose work is available: Additionally, numerous students could not upload at all--the "Browse" link on the Canvas iPad app apparently does nothing? I have no idea why Canvas functions are always so complicated. Anyone had these issues?

The fact that this has not been fixed yet is obscene. Now that most schools are teaching remotely, this sort of problem is being magnified tenfold. I'm going to start looking for a new option for my school.

It turns out, PowerSchool only imported grades from 9/25 and later; anything in my gradebook before 9/25, the assignment transferred, but none of the grades. Any thoughts?

Awesome news--my students are eagerly awaiting the iOS update (translation: they are constantly asking me to "fix" Canvas for them so it only shows second semester). Thanks so much for being so proactive about this.

It's been two weeks without a reply, so I will echo Joe's question: Is there any ETA on this fix? My school has 4,000 students using the iPad app, and if they can't see their current, accurate grade, I'm not sure why I (or any other teacher) should use Canvas at all. Virtually every school in the country has semesters and multiple grading periods; it's hard to understand how such a problem wouldn't have been remedied during development.

There absolutely needs to be more options/control for creating groups within sections. Right now, I have to create "self-sign up" groups and then manually drag students into them in order to restrict the groups by section. Otherwise, if it creates groups by drawing from my entire course enrollment, I can't have groups work in class to follow-up on and extend their discussions.
