The goal would be for other users to see these pros and cons and to better troubleshoot any issues that students are having because of the varying functionality of the two views, or for the engineers to resolve the negative issues that are occurring.

Embedding a video from Google Drive into an assignment does not function. The thumbnail is there. When you click play, the player acts as if it is loading, and then stops. Video player is now stuck with a black screen and a red/white play button in the middle of the player. The only way to view the embedded video now is to click the "open in a new window" icon. 🔎 This idea has been archived. While this idea isn't open for comments, it is an important part of Instructure’s idea conversations and development process. iOS app When using Homeroom view.... +Course cards are bigger and easier for students to read +Front pages show up, on all courses now (previously only the students homeroom course did this) -Course navigation menu goes away -course landing page shows up as the web based version? -assignments are not clickable and shows up When not using Homeroom view... +course navigation menu is visable -front page does not immediately appear (unless you are the subject home, or after you click "pages" 🔎 This idea has been archived. One other factor that I recently found was that this issue is only appearing in other courses that are NOT the "homeroom" course. Attached are photos of the homeroom course which has the homepage appear as soon as you click the course card. The other is a related arts class that is NOT the students homeroom. This is where the issue of the homepage not appearing happens.

Not the solution. Displaying the course menu is just fine and I like it but before the most recent iOS update the homepage would appear right away after clicking on the course.

I have created a page in my subject. This page is set as my "homepage" For students using the web version the homepage appears as soon as they click on the subject's course card. For students using the iOS app the homepage does not appear after clicking on the subject's course card. It can be found within "pages" though. iPads are running the latest iOS 14.7.1 and the most recent Canvas "Student" app version 6.12.0
