When enrolling instructors and TAs, section limitations allow those users to grade students in their same section(s). Thanks @scottdennis & @sgarcia1! We use Groups but the space is confusing. Without the ability to customizing the homepage or the navigation bar within the group's space, I can't provide a very good user experience for my learners. Besides giving this post 5 stars, is there another way to vote on this idea? It would be so helpful to have this option. Currently it's really confusing as the menu inside of a group's space offers an choice to "make as frontpage" but nothing seems to happen when I click on that. I don't think it made the page my course's main page, either. Could someone clarify why that choice is on the kebob menu? ... View more

The course I just exported to an ePub file did not seem to export correctly. Not all the pages were included and within each module, the pages were not in correct order. However, I am not able to find a lot of resources on this topic. Hi Laura, I manage an asynchronous online course that allows 120+ students to pick whichever (of the 65+) topics that interest them in whatever order they prefer. We have come a long way from D2L to Moodle and now to Canvas, but since our grading system is very similar to yours, we have never found a very good way for the students to track their own progress. I clicked on the chart you shared above and it took me to a Blackboard page. So I'm curious about how that chart was actually used. Was it an Excel that students had to download and manually check off items done so they can get a total of the points in each column? We give the students 1 point for each required assignment, but the assignment types range from online text submission, to interactive modules designed in Articulate Storyline and Microsoft MIX, to attending web conferences, so that also complicates the matter. In past years, we've offered an Excel spreadsheet for them to download, but very few students used it. Every year they ask us for a way within the learning management system that will easily and clearly display their progress.
