Bio:
Kristin Sherman holds a Master of Arts in Human Development and Social Change, embodying her commitment to fostering growth and learning in both children and adults. Since 2006, she has dedicated her career to Early Childhood Education, serving in various roles at private preschools, including as a teacher and Director.
In 2015, Kristin expanded her influence by joining UCLA Extension as an educator, where she designed three certificate-level courses aimed at enhancing professional development for early childhood educators. Her passion for innovative teaching methods and educational best practices is reflected in her work, including publications in early childhood education magazines that share her insights and experiences.
Kristin's commitment to community and education extends beyond the classroom; she serves as a councilwoman on the Mar Vista Arts and Education City Council, advocating for arts integration and educational initiatives within her community. She has also led seven educator tours to Reggio Emilia, Italy, offering educators firsthand experience with the renowned Loris Malaguzzi Center, which has inspired many to adopt Reggio-inspired practices.
In her current role, Kristin acts as a Reggio Inspired Consultant for the Head Start Reggio Inspired cohort, guiding educators in implementing these transformative approaches in diverse settings. Additionally, she has presented children’s work internationally, showcasing the creativity and potential of young learners on a global stage.
