Bio:
Cory is a Colorado native and a 14-year Air Force veteran. After a medical discharge, he returned to his home state, where he owned a construction company and volunteered as a youth basketball coach. Growing up on a cattle ranch fostered his lifelong love for animals, leading him and his wife, Amber, to purchase their own ranch in 2015. This rekindled his interest in animal sciences, prompting him to pursue an undergraduate degree at Colorado State University in 2019. He transferred to Texas A&M in 2021. At Texas A&M, Cory became heavily involved with the Student Veterans of America (SVA), serving as Event Coordinator in Fall 2021 and as chapter president beginning in Spring 2022. Under his leadership, the chapter earned "Chapter of the Year" in 2023. He played a crucial role in rebuilding the SVA and successfully advocating for priority registration for student veterans. He was also active in numerous community and campus organizations and committees. Cory graduated from Texas A&M with his undergraduate degree in December 2023.
