Yes. I get notifications for graded discussion posts just fine and I get notified of a reply if I reply to someone else, but I just don't get notified of initial posts in the ungraded discussion. 

It appears that I am only getting notifications of discussion posts in graded discussions. Is there any way to get notifications of posts in ungraded discussions? We use these often as random question...
