Bio:
Dr. Robert Bryant earned a doctorate in education with a concentration in distance education from Regent University and a master’s in education with a concentration in leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He was the first researcher to quantify learner retention in Massive Open Online Courses using predictive analytics and big data. As an adjunct professor, he taught hybrid, flipped, and online courses for the Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Methods department in the McCoy College of Business Administration at Texas State University. Dr. Bryant contributed as a consultant in online course design at Fresno Pacific University and Abilene Christian University. He served as an academic dean for seventeen years at a boarding school, where he trained faculty in curriculum design and instructional practices—eight of those years were involved in the online design process. He currently works as an Instructional Designer at Alamo Colleges District.
