Canvas passes back to PowerSchool a "late" indicator if assignments are turned in or scored by Canvas after the due date/time. Even when I don't want it to... it does.

I 100% agree with @scott_mecca and @eleavell. Our school has AM/PM Hybrid sections. I have 4 sections of the same course, now with 8 smaller mini sections. I want some assignments to be lock...
