Born in a Sugar Producing region in the Philippines to a Plantation owning family. Primary and secondary education at De La Salle College. Completed University education at Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor's degree in Behavioural Sciences ie. Psychology, Linguistics, Sociology, and Anthropology.
Initiated career in Advertising at Compton Manila, became Advertising manager at Philippine Airlines, and proceeded to Join Bozell and Jacobs Advertising in Manila. Joined McCann Erickson International in Manila and was transferred to the Vancouver Operations of McCann Erickson. Trained in McCann Erickson New York in 1979. Left McCann Erickson to Join McKim Advertising in Canada and went on to be Ad and Promotions Manager for Palm Dairies (Now Saputo). Moved to Toronto with a start-up company called Infonet Media that specialized in In-store Supermarkets and Drugstore advertising and promotions. Became a Director for The Grocery Industry Foundation...raising funds through consumer promotions for Variety Village, Childrens Hospitals in Ontario, School for the Hearing impaired, and a program called Breakfast for Learning which provided breakfast for school children who came to school without having breakfast. Joined Introspective Solutions in 2005 to import dried mangoes and other related products into Canada from the Philippines. Secured distribution nationally for the brand through all of the Major Supermarket banners in Canada. To date- continuing to grow the brand...through new distribution vehicles. Have been in this business now going 15 years.
I am an armchair politician...most interested in International affairs. Get myself informed mainly through The Economist which I consider may major source of information on world business and political trends. I love to travel to Spain every year to see old friends. Am married with 3 grown children and a grandfather to 3 girls and 2 boys.
