Hi, my name is Chuck Louviere (most of my students call me “Mr. Chuck“). I currently work as the Coordinator for Instructional Technology at Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma as a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator. I have also worked in the computer science/information technology field teaching computer science courses. I am committed to student success through teaching excellence and exceptional course development in higher education. I have worked at various colleges, universities, and vocational technology schools in the Oklahoma City area since 1995. I have also served on a variety of higher education college advisory committees and have been recognized by different schools for teaching excellence. I am currently a Doctoral Student in the College of Education, Learning, Design, and Technology Program (formerly Educational Technology) at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma working through dissertation hours.
My administration portfolio includes working with various LMS systems, LTI integrations with multiple vendors, zoom administration and training, automating different 3rd-party tools, instructional design, faculty and staff training, collaborating with IT personnel, and technological consultations.
My teaching portfolio includes courses in personal finance, computer hardware, operating systems, office applications, Internet, HTML scripting, and web page design. I also currently hold Strata, A+, MOS Master, and MTA certifications. In the various teaching responsibilities, I have been actively involved in course advising, consulting, design, and development for computer science courses.
Some personal information. I am happily married. My wife and I have two boys. My hobbies include traveling to the Middle East and ancient studies, design and construction, rock climbing and rappelling, and Sci-Fi. I am also an avid philatelic numismatic (have fun with that).
