About

I am a high school science teacher, science department chair, and building instructional technology lead. I have a passion for technology with a purpose, inspiring students through the excitement of learning, and an understanding that building relationships are key in furthering a student's education and becoming a better educator. My students would describe me as a bit 'Extra'. I love how Canvas has become an extension of my classroom. And the features that Canvas employs has allowed me to better support students, individualizing learning to best meet their needs. I am honored to say that I was Canvas' 2019 High School Educator of the Year, as well as the 2021 - 2022 Wentzville School District Teacher of the Year. When I am not trying to channel my inner Ms. Frizzle I spend time with my family; which includes my husband, Labrador Retriever named Teddy, and American Foxhound named Bash.
