Bio:
Anne discovered an interest in educational technology in the early 2000's and became a coach and trainer for schools when the idea of teaching online and having devices in the classroom was in its infancy. She attended University of South Carolina (Links to an external site.) and attained her Master's degree in Educational Technology and Curriculum. She then excepted a job in the largest school district in South Carolina as an instructional technology coach helping teachers develop proficiency and integrate best instructional practices while using technology in the classroom. She is enormously passionate about creating rigor and meaningful experiences for students and teachers using technology. SAMR and Bloom's Taxonomy (Links to an external site.) is a focus and speciality of hers in coaching and teaching.
Anne also has an undergraduate degree in Music Education and Elementary Education. She spent ten years in the performing arts classroom and five years in the third and fourth grade classroom as self-contained and ELA compartmentalized teacher. Anne has always taught in a Title I school and was a teacher of the year nominee three years. A fun fact about Anne is she has played in twelve different Broadway pits as an oboe /English Horn player.
