I want to change latework to ontime work from speedgrader, while I am grading. As of now, you have to leave speedgrader to do this, making assigning a grade 3 times longer than is should be.

Agree! In order to excuse latework, you must leave speedgrader, search the gradebook for that particular assignment, then click. Doesn't make sense. All teachers would appreciate it. Assigning ...
