Any update on making this feature available for New Quizzes? We have received this request from a few instructors and it is definitely a helpful piece of information for students to know what to expect in terms of scores.

I vote for this. This feature is very much needed. Announcements should have available to/from date, This will also remove clutter on the announcement page.

I second this feature request. We have got requests from instructors who teach dual-credit courses that combine graduate and undergraduate students in one cross-listed Canvas course. Since they could use this feature in BlackBoard, they have especially shown their displeasure for not having this anymore. Currently, it is not possible to have two separate weighted columns which is why one of the instructors had to simplify his grade book weight distribution and make multiple changes in assignments. This is a lot of extra work. Introducing this feature will be very much helpful.

I second this. At present, the Canvas announcement notifications that go out to students and the poster in an email format strip off all the formatting like highlights, bolds, text color, images, and most importantly even the line breaks. Due to not having line breaks, the emails look like one big chunk of words and sentences. This might be a turn-off for a reader as well and they can ignore the email completely. Which can be problematic because many instructors convey their most important information only through announcements. There should be at least line breaks and availability of image attachments, if not any other formatting features, in the announcement email notifications. This request has been going on since 2016 and I am adding my comment to support this in 2022. It would be great to see if there was any development made on this until now!

Is there a way to add school specific holiday calendar to Canvas? Per my knowledge, there is none right now but I think it will be beneficial. Just the way we can add 'US Holiday' calendar in our Gmail calendar, if we can add school specific holiday calendar to Canvas and it can be integrated globally for all the students, faculty, and staff, I think it will be a helpful tool.
