Canvas
Student View
Arc provides basic support for the Student View feature. Student View allows instructors to view a course as a test student and view embedded videos. When Student View is enabled, an Arc account is also created for the Test Student. A new test user will be created each time student view is used after being reset. Currently Test Students cannot be removed from course sections, and individual Arc site user lists shows multiple test students, both of which will be resolved in a future release.

Email Dependencies
Arc supports LTI launches from accounts that don’t have email addresses. This change helps customers that use a single sign-on (SSO) authentication method and does not depend on email addresses.
Canvas Data Improvements
Arc video analytics are generated by Canvas Data, which provides more accurate and faster insights. In 2017, Arc admins will be able to access all Arc data directly within Canvas Data.
Video
Video Comments
When a user starts to type in the comments field for a video, the video is automatically paused to improve comment placement in the video. Clicking the Comment button will resume the video.
Video Image
When an embedded video loads, the video displays the middle frame as the video image. This change provides a better view of video content before the video is played.
