Gradebook Statuses Accessibility on ScreenReaders

I am wondering if anyone knows how the colors of gradebook statuses work on screenreaders. When the screenreader reads the cell of a colored cell, does it indicate the status (ie - late, missing, resubmitted)? How are the colors/statuses indicated?

If you're talking about the colors in the table in the Traditional Gradebook, it looks like canvas actually directs screen reader/(and keyboard?) users to use the individual gradebook; you can see this link/notice as you tab through the page with the keyboard. In the individual gradebook, the info is listed in text in the "grading" section.
