It would be useful to allow only certain tutors to be able to view questions on a quiz. Currently anyone enrolled on a course as a staff member can view all quizzes and question banks, but that may not always be what is needed.
For example, the person creating a quiz could be set as the only person with permission to view the questions in the quiz.
I understand New Quizzes has the ability to share item banks with other users, so that only those people can view the banks. However, once these questions are added to a quiz (via the item bank) every staff member can view them.
More control over who can 'view' questions, as opposed to just 'add', 'edit' and 'delete' permissions, would be ideal..

Hi @mathieu
I believe you misunderstand how the new "Sharing" feature works. Only you can share your items banks (they are yours, after all), and once shared, the other user can only modify their copy of your item bank. Please see, How do I manage item banks in New Quizzes?

Items banks in Canvas and the new sharing "feature" is badly broken. Since the latest release all questions from every course have been dumped into "all my banks" with nothing at all showing up in "All my course banks". What's more, these are shared across the institution if anyone has editing roles in a course and everyone sees all question banks from every course. What a mess! Please give us the opportunity to turn off these new features until they have been fully baked.

@kmeeusen , Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I actually haven't shared any of my question banks. Everything became shared as soon as the July feature update was applied. All of my users who have a site role that allows them to simply view content in a course, not even with permissions for item banks, have been given edit access to all question banks across the institution. Ostensibly, none of the role permissions appear to do anything to fix this problem. One would expect that we could adjust the role permissions to get the behaviour we want, but it doesn't work this way.
Hi @k_oconnor2
While that level of role permissions does not currently exist in Canvas, you could create a new Idea Conversation for this functionality in this community.
Good luck!

Thanks @kmeeusen, that was my next stop.
