[ARCHIVED] Adding past enrollments to dashboard course menu

How can I add a course from "Past Enrollments" to my dashboard course menu? When I click the star icon next to the course title, Canvas gives me a message that says: This course cannot be added to the courses menu at this time.

Hi,  @mefoster1  and  Welcome to the Canvas Community! As explained in https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10570-4212710327 (instructions are essentially the same for an instructor), past enrollments cannot be favorited. If you are an instructor and believe that this course displays as a past enrollment in error, please reach out to your local Canvas admin to inquire about its status.

Thanks for the quick response Stefanie! I'm an instructor/professor and I would like to customize my dashboard. In short, the regular dashboard display includes every course I've ever taught, courses that I've been enrolled in for various university training's, and other courses that I've been invited to view. My dashboard includes every course I've been involved in except one, a course that I'm currently enrolled for instructors only. When I select that particular course as a favorite so that it shows up on my dashboard, all of my other courses vanish. Is there a way to hand pick the courses that I want displayed regardless of their enrollment status and course status?

 @mefoster1 , that's consistent: all courses will display on the Dashboard until the user selects one favorite, whereupon only the "favorited" course will display. You can customize which cards display on your Dashboard by "favoriting" them on the courses list. https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-12896-4152719654 walks through the process. You should be able to "unfavorite" past enrollments. Hope this helps!

Thanks again for the quick response! It looks like the issue that I'm having is a limitation of Canvas. I'll check with my Canvas Admin just to be sure.
