How do I get ride of the eye icon next to announcements so people in course can see the announcments?

Hi Wendy,

As long as you have disabled the menu item in your course then the eye icon will automatically go away and be visible for your students once you post your first announcement. Until then it is hidden from them because there would be nothing in there for them to see.
