When enabling a student to see quiz results, does it default to only one time? How do you restrict the student to only view their correct answers/results of the questions to one time only?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @nicgn69481
On classic quizzes, you can see the option to allow students to see the quiz results on the edit mode of the quiz.
In this guide here
What options can I set in a quiz?
You can find this information
You can choose to allow students to view their answers, any automatic feedback generated by the quiz for correct or incorrect answers, and which questions they got wrong. Quizzes default to this option, so if you do not want students to see their quiz responses, deselect the checkbox.
As part of this option, you can restrict students view of the quiz results to Only Once After Each Attempt . Students will only be able to view the results immediately after they have completed the quiz—results include both their responses and the correct answers.
Notes:
For new quizzes, you can go into the settings on the build section and change the option to restrict student result view.
You can find information on that in this guide here.

How do I restrict students from viewing quiz results in New Quizzes?
@blopes I can't resist commenting, probably not for the first or last time, about how inadequate this is, in at least three ways:
1) The most serious inadequacy is how it upends faculty expectations. From 10 years of using Classic Quizzes faculty expect answers to be hidden by default. NQ designers decided to reverse this.
2) The very useful and often used options to automatically show correct answers only once and/or show and hide at a specific date and time have removed. Apparently the idea was that instructors can now control this manually. I can't tell you how much they are going to love this new responsibility. This has been commented on about a zillion times in the community.
3) New Quizzes does not respect the Manual Grade Posting Policy in the gradebook, which with Classic Quizzes, and ALL OTHER ASSIGNMENTS hides the grade the student received until the instructor explicitly posts it.
I can only wonder: what were they thinking? Bringing it up is an exercise in futility I know, except that I might get a kudo or two for a temporary high before I sink back into my funk about the many problems with New Quizzes.
