Hi, I've made a powerpoint presentation with an audio file attached to each slide. In order to play the audio, my manager needed to download and save the presentation. Will the students need to do this too when the powerpoint is added to Canvas? Thank you

Yes they will, and that means they will need to have a copy of Powerpoint on their computer in order to hear the audio. If your students use Chromebooks or mobile devices they are out of luck.
Instead of posting narrated powerpoints I suggest exporting them as video files and then uploading them to Canvas that way. As a video file they are much more compatible on a variety of devices than they are as Powerpoints. You should be able to find an Export option in Powerpoint to save them as an MP4 file. Then in Canvas here is a guide about how best to upload them as video files.
