vrs07nl, I don't have an answer to your question, as I've never used Campus Pack. However, because your prompt invites an open-ended discussion rather than posing a question that will have a single "Correct Answer," I'm changing this from a question to a discussion.
Hi Nicola,
Here's the Integration Guides and Campus Pack User Guides , hope they are useful for you.
thanks for these
I am still waiting for our account details ... hopefully i will be able o add easily.and test without issues... unlike Adobe Connect ( disaster)
We are having problems with authentication - despite help from Learning Objects / campus pack. Did you have the same issues?
Hi Nicola, I came across this issue (you can check this corresponding link), but I am not sure if this is the authentication problems that you referring to.
Thanks Ada
Campus pack resolved our issue. we did not have to pay extra to link our institutional licence in BB to Canvas Pack
I am now about to start testing set ups etc in Canvas
Good to hear that your problem has been resolved.
Just wondering have you tried Campus Pack running on the Canvas apps? I found it totally unmanageable. (see my other post)
Have you came across this?
I also located this guide to use after installation for reference if anyone else is using campus pack ( we use it with Blackboard) https://www.samuelmerritt.edu/academic_technology/campuspack
No do's or don'ts, but we have been using Campus Pack in Blackboard for several years. I just did a survey of our faculty and several are using some of the functionality especially Journaling and Wikis, for at least several hundred students. I had hoped that Canvas would provide enough of these functions so that we could drop Campus Pack, but apparently not. *I also recall checking and it was going to cost a small additional fee to run Campus Pack on both Blackboard and Canvas at the same time, but for us it looks like we can just switch starting with our Summer I 2016 session, from running Campus Pack on Blackboard to only running it on Canvas. I think I looked at the LTI setup and it was nothing special, so I don't forsee a problem.
Had to get help from Campus pack
Campus Pack Administrator Portal in the test system > Authentication and Integration Connectors > select the connector xxxxx to highlight it > click modify > paste in your canvas url and your access token in the appropriate fields.
Hi community
I have been trying to test what can and cannot do with Campus Pack in Canvas and am having a real issues with deploying to groups as from what i am currently seeing campus pack is not 'seeing' groups or sections.... any thoughts or help? = the campus pack guides for canvas are not helpful
I have just been thought all the things i can do in BB again as got so confused by results in Canvas....
Has anyone managed to get Campus Pack to recognise canvas groups or sections?
I am hoping the differentiated group assignment feature will resolve the problems I am having in providing template Campus Pack wikis to groups
An update with Campus Pack and Canvas
Following a conversation with Learning Objects last week I established the following re Campus Pack and groups
a) It is not possible to deploy Campus Pack resources to groups in Canvas
b) Campus Pack does not recognise Canvas groups or sections ( and no work planned to resolve this)
c) Canvas does not identify itself when connecting to Campus Pack so relevant group data does not get picked up
If i create a Canvas Assignment and allocate to a group then add a Campus Pack wiki with relevant permissions - all students can still access the resource. So in order to allocate Campus Pack to groups i have to
a) create a single copy
b) give permission to group members manually
c) make another version for another group
Does anyone have an alternative work around?
I did also ask Learning Objects to update their guides re Campus Pack and Canvas to reflect fact cannot use group allocations.
Further update on functionality of campus pack and canvas
Campus Pack only seems to recognise TWO Canvas default roles - teacher and student. NO other default or bespoke roles are recognized so such users do not appear in Campus Pack Collaboration Space members list
For example we have a Participant role that is exactly the same as the Student role but anyone enrolled as that does not appear in Campus Pack so I am unable to assign a resource to them . Only if I change the role to student (or teacher) do they appear.
Has anyone else noticed this? I will ask Learning Objects about this to find out why
Campus Pack is a fantastic reflective and collaboration tool it is a shame it does not function fully because of the way Canvas links to it. Is there a way we can get Canvas to speak to Campus Pack better?
We have had to MAP our additional Canvas roles to CP roles (using CP Admin tool). So now these roles are recognised by CP
HOWEVER to get first two to also appear in permissions list of a CP resource we ALSO have to manually add the roles to each CP set up in a Canvas course where use those roles
Have a webcon with Learning Objects today 12 April 2016 to see if can get workaround
UPDATE 12 April 2016
In addition to mapping canvas roles to campus pack roles under Admin Portal in Campus Pack (Authentication and Integration Connectors > connector id) we then should have doen the following
CP Admin Portal
NOTE
For future, CP set ups will automatically add canvas roles as members. For existing set ups
EITHER manually add new roles to CP set up in Canvas course
OR delete CP set ups in canvas course and then add back - will synchronise and pull through members from roles added under Manage Group Archetypes as this is the area Campus Pack copies permitted roles from
Learning Objects have said will update their CP guides for Canvas to reflect all this and fact group recognition not possilbe for now ( will think about getting CP to recognise Canvas groups in due course)
SO I can now get CP to do what i want in Canvas re individual and group wikis, blogs etc free form or templates...
Final Update
If you want to be able to access campus pack from navigation ( we do) you need to set up with paste xml code provided by Learning Objects. By default this code results in Campus Pack appearing in navigation of all courses.
Thanks to this post Changing the placement of a Edu App (prebuilt LTI) I have since been able to reinstall the app with a different name and ensure that while it will appear in navigation it is hidden by default instead of on in all courses. That way you can turn it on by course via settings > navigation list >enable
Base code = (you add own CP URL, use different name if wish and add extra line (default / disabled ) and just paste all into app set up

Need some help with the Campus Pack integration. I read the documentation. Trying to get my IT department to assist but analyst seems to think Campus Pack is fee based and I cannot add it to my course without paying. I cannot tell if this is true or not from what I read. It seems more probable to me that I need administrator rights to access the LTI tool producer. Ideas?
Campus Pack is a group of online tools from Learning Objects. They are pay for play. We have used them with Blackboard and now with Canvas.
Gotcha. Thanks.
Dear @lmorris4
sorry for not replying sooner - yes you need to pay for Campus Pack - we use it in BB and Canvas (as a sub account of the University's main contract)
I also had to get learning Objects to help with set ups
