If I create an announcement in one section, can I automatically post it in another section or do I have to retype it?

Hi Beth,

This depends on how your institution is setup. If you have once course with many sections associated with it then you will be able to post to all sections of that course at the same time. But if your institution is like mine where we have a one to one relationship, once canvas course that is only associated with one section then you will have to retype or copy and paste the announcement into each section separately. 

If you have a one to one course relationship a way to handle this is to have a master or blueprint course‌ where you can create the announcement in and then import/sync all child courses of that course.
