I am wondering if there is anyone who is using Canvas Data and surfacing the information to SharePoint? I would like to be able to surface students information (grades, attendance, comments) to SharePoint so that an Advisor can quickly view an overview for each student. We currently have a Web Part that is pulling student information from our SIS PowerCampus to show thier photo, advisor, class schedule, and some other information, but I would like to be able to pull thier grades and attendance from Canvas into this web part as well.

You should take a look at Alliance Partner - AspirEDU​ and their LTI Dropout Detective: http://aspiredu.com/solutions/

This LTI tool plugs right into Canvas and does what you are describing, and may save you in development time.
