Can we create due dates based on the day a student accepts the class in Canvas? So a student starts a class on Wednesday. I add him/her to the class, they accept the course, and from that date it calculates the due dates. So for example maybe the due dates are 5 days, 10 days, 60 days from the date a student accepts the class?
We do not run classes like traditional institutions. Students can start and stop courses anytime. It's not lock step.

@mfuller2 ,
This should be possible if you use differentiated assignments and give each student a separate due date. That would either be a full-time job for someone using the web interface or it could be programmatically done using the API. I would urge the second solution, although it may help the local economy more to use the first approach.
There is no native ability to define dates in relative terms (start+60 days) and dates are set for the entire course unless you use differentiated assignments.
Wondering if anyone else has had this question since it was originally posted? I don't see a ton of chatter about this, but we also are looking for a way to set certain dates relative to enrollment. We would see this being useful on assignments but also other course dates such as Starts and Ends.
#assignments
We will also explore differentiated assignments, but for really large courses this could get nutty.
Cheers.

Have there been any updates regarding this question? Most of the posts I'm seeing are 4+ years old. Thanks!
