Hello, @alicia1_olmeda Welcome to the Canvas Community! Assuming you're a teacher, and if your district permits it, you can rename the course in Settings by following the instructions in How do I change a course name and course code? If you don't see this capability in Settings, please send your request to the Canvas admin or eLearning department for your district.
Teachers and students can nickname courses; the name the user chooses is only visible to that user. Instructions for that are in the Create Nickname section of https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10588-4212717404 (same instructions for a teacher).
Hope this helps!

@alicia1_olmeda , since it sounds like the ability to rename courses has been disabled by your district, you will need to find the individual in your district who administers Canvas courses to make the request. This community is happy to assist with general questions about Canvas, but we don't have the ability nor would we override schools' policies.
