Dear @Susan McAlister, you may check your paper with any plagiarism detection tool integrated into Canvas. Your academic institution should have a license for using the plagiarism checker and it has to be integrated into Canvas. When you create an assignment you may choose the corresponding software in the checkbox ‘Plagiarism Review’.
If you want to check the draft of your paper without submitting it into the educational database of your institution, you should choose an appropriate plagiarism tool, that offers such functionality.
Unicheck is one of such tools. It offers the feature that allows a student to check their draft before the final submission. In this case, the paper is available only to the student and they can enhance it and fix any mistakes before the final submission. Such papers are not stored in any educational databases and won’t be detected as plagiarized.
