[ARCHIVED] Chrome book says browser doesn't meet requirements?

A student working from  home -

I walked her through updating her chrome book - Google Chrome OS

But when she goes to CANVAS she gets this message

"your browser does not meet the minimum requirements for CANVAS

is there any solution for this ?

Ideally, the solution is to use a newer Chromebook that has a version of Google Chrome that DOES meet the requirements.  Otherwise, she needs to find another device and use it.  Chromebooks do not last forever just like any other technology.  Here are some other options that you can look into:
